How can 200 tons of metal stay up in the air? I don't want bumps. Bumps mean the plane is ocillating. Speed keeps it going but what stops the plane from going into a dive after a bump? Why does a plane have to fly so high? Is it because it over-rides atmospheric conditions? I'm powerless in a plane. Flight attendants don't care if I'm scared. I envision myself going straight downwards and knowing I can't do anything about it.
