I've personally dealt with panic anxiety problems my whole life. It started when I was just a kid and I've had to cope with them since then. I finally found a solution that has helped me get them done once and for all. I will tell you that it wasn't quick or easy, but after a while I was able to finally get rid of them. I'm no longer dealing with them and its like I've started a new life not having panic attacks. I also saw a Dr. Oz special a few days ago, sometimes it isn't a panic attack that is the root of the problem, I'd also recommend talking to your doctor. I wish you the best!

Kelli, Many people have asked that very same question. It requires extensive training to operate the ejection and parachutes. In 1964, my father was a Marine pilot and had to eject from his crippled F-8B Crusader over the cold waters of the Chesapeake Bay. Unharmed he tread water until a helicopter rescued him. I still have the newspaper clipping hanging on my wall. I'm happy to report that he is still safe and sound.

I agree with Kris above. I've always wondered why airlines do not give more escape routes like individual parachutes with eject options (with the eject option being in possesion of the pilot) like fighter planes have. Maybe this is not possible but I've always wondered why they haven't come up with something like that. That would eliminate a lot of fear because it would give people a chance to survive if something went horribly wrong.

I LOVED the visual process that you mentioned. I have a lot of my Claustrophobia clinets are afraid to fly. I think the issue comes down to two reasons...1)the confined area inside the airplane and 2) The fact that in their mind they cannot plan an escape route out of the situation. I know for me, that was my issue (no escape route). Well written nad I am going to place a link to this article on my site for my visitors to enjoy.
