A passenger on a recent US Airways flight put a suitcase with rotten meat in the overhead bin that also contained maggots. As the plane was heading to the runway passengers began to notice the bugs falling from the overhead bin and that’s when the flying anxiety really began to kick in! Thankfully the pilot acted quickly to the concerns of the cabin crew and passengers and took the plane back to the terminal. Here’s the whole fearful flying story below.

Flying Anxiety was high as Air Tran decided to kick a child’s pet turtle off of a recent flight out of Atlanta International Airport. The airline says it had it’s reasons for not allowing the turtle to fly and it is an interesting story how the turtle got as far as it did. While this story might not help people overcome fear of flying, it is an amusing story that did have a happy ending.

A daredevil has landed in France after crossing the English Channel using only a cluster of helium balloons. I’m guessing he didn’t have a fear of flying but a fear of claustrophobia.

Here’s a story about a sleeping passenger who was left on the plane by herself after everyone got off. Hopefully this won’t lead to new levels toward trying to overcome fear of flying.
